- Custom AI Instructions: Tone preferences, custom rules, and behavior settings you configure for your AI assistant.
2.2 Information from Connected Platforms
- Facebook & Instagram Data: When you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram Business account, we access comments, direct messages, page information, and post data through the Meta Platform APIs. This access is governed by Meta's Platform Terms.
- Google Calendar Data: If you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar availability and create events for appointment bookings.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers.
- Cookies: We use session cookies to maintain your authentication state and preferences.

4. AI Processing
SellMate uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI's GPT models) to process customer messages and generate replies on your behalf. When processing messages:
- Customer messages are sent to OpenAI's API for intent classification and reply generation
- Your product catalog, business information, and custom AI instructions are included as context for accurate responses
- AI-generated replies are posted to your connected platforms (Facebook, Instagram) automatically or as drafts based on your settings
- We log AI actions in your activity feed for full transparency
We do not use your data to train AI models. Data sent to OpenAI is processed under their API data usage policy, which does not use API inputs for model training.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., OpenAI for AI processing, Stripe/RevenueCat for payments, hosting providers).
